OEM KS9 Type 6-10kV Series Mining Oil-immerse Power Transformer Suppliers, Manufacturer

The KS9 series mining transformer is engineered for coal mine underground central substations, shaft bottom yards, and main air intake roadways where gas is present but explosion risk is absent. It is also suitable for relatively humid tunnel environments. Normal operating conditions allow for altitudes up to 1000m and temperatures ranging from -25°C to +40°C. For special conditions exceeding 1000m altitude, the temperature range extends from -45°C to +40°C. The unit withstands up to 95% relative humidity and environments free from severe vibration, with a maximum installation inclination of 35°.

Product Features

The tank has a robust structure and can withstand a pressure test of one atmosphere. There is no oil conservator on the tank cover. High and low voltage cable junction boxes are welded on both sides of the tank wall for cable connection. The high-voltage winding has rated voltage and ±5% tap voltage, which is adjusted via a tap changer. Voltage adjustment must be performed after cutting off the power supply and removing the weather cover of the tap changer on the tank wall.

The low-voltage side of the transformer can be connected in "Y" configuration for 690V power supply, or reconnected in "△" configuration for 400V power supply. Six porcelain bushings are led out from the secondary terminals in the cable junction box for user modification.

The entire transformer is lifted using lifting lugs welded on the tank wall. A trolley bracket is installed at the bottom of the transformer tank, with mounting holes for installing mine car rollers as required by the mine.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the KS9 transformer model code indicate?

In the model name KS9, 'K' stands for mining type (general type), 'S' denotes a three-phase system, and '9' indicates the technical performance level code.

How can the output voltage be switched between 400V and 690V?

The low-voltage secondary terminals feature six porcelain bushings led out inside the junction box. Users can configure the wiring into a "Y" connection for 690V power supply or reconnect it into a "△" (delta) configuration for 400V power supply.

What safety precautions must be followed during voltage tap adjustment?

Voltage adjustment via the tap changer must only be carried out after completely disconnecting the main power supply and carefully removing the weather cover of the tap changer located on the tank wall.

Can this mining transformer be moved using standard mine tracks?

Yes. A dedicated trolley bracket is integrated at the bottom of the transformer tank, pre-fitted with mounting holes to install standard mine car rollers based on site transport requirements.

Is it possible to customize the transformer with a 1.2kV low voltage option?

Yes, while the standard configuration provides 0.4kV and 0.69kV options, transformers with a custom low-voltage rating of 1.2kV can be supplied upon request.

Which quality and manufacturing standards do KS9 series transformers comply with?

KS9 transformers strictly adhere to electrical performance and safety standards including JB3995-2006, GB1094.1-1996, GB1094.2-1996, GB/1094.3-2003, and GB/1094.5-2003.
