Special Notes:
  1. If a leakage protector is installed at the front end, the neutral wire must be led from the outlet terminal of the leakage protector to the current-limiting protector.
  2. The product is installed in a distribution box/cabinet. It generates significant heat during operation; high-displacement fans must be installed on the door panel or both sides of the distribution box/cabinet.
  3. The neutral wire connected to this protector is only used to supply power to the protector. Do not connect the neutral wire from the protector to terminal load equipment.
  4. Auxiliary functions such as RS485 communication, leakage detection, and temperature sensing may not be connected in practical applications.

Other Notes

  • The residual current transformer is an optional component.
  • The cable temperature sensor is an optional component.
  • When selecting a current-limiting protector, its set rated current must match the rated current of the upstream circuit breaker. For example, if the upstream circuit breaker has a rated current of 32A, the current-limiting protector should also be set to 32A. To ensure proper operation, it is strictly prohibited to install the protector in a circuit where its rated current does not match that of the upstream breaker.
  • The current-limiting protector is designed for DIN-rail mounting and may also be installed using a hanging rope mount or inside an enclosure with good heat dissipation. Ensure the installation site is free from water leakage, corrosive gases, and deposits, and pay attention to ambient temperature and ventilation.
  • Wiring should be performed according to the connection diagram. To prevent localized overheating due to excessive contact resistance or malfunction caused by poor contact, ensure all terminals are securely and firmly tightened.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the primary role of the single-phase current-limiting protector?

A: It tracks line status in real time and delivers microsecond-level (<150 us) short-circuit cut-off to prevent electrical fires caused by short-circuit sparks and over-temperature conditions.

Q: Why must the rated current match the upstream circuit breaker?

A: The protector must work in coordination with the upstream protection system. Mismatched current ratings compromise safety thresholds and could cause equipment protection failures or false tripping.

Q: Why are high-displacement cooling fans required in the enclosure?

A: Current-limiting protectors generate significant thermal energy during continuous operation. Effective forced ventilation prevents heat accumulation, ensuring the longevity and reliable operation of internal electronics.

Q: Can the device operate without optional sensors and communication lines?

A: Yes. Auxiliary features such as RS485 communication, residual current detection transformers, and wire temperature sensors can be omitted or connected based on specific application requirements.

Q: How should the neutral wire be connected?

A: The neutral wire connected to this unit is solely intended for powering internal circuits. It must not be extended from the protector to supply downstream terminal load equipment.
